Test 11–North Country Blues

Test, in Kevinspeak, means blogposts that try to include youtube videos, usually live performances, which are more often allowed to be played on “Joe Blogger’s” posts by the companies what own all music or anything else one might ever enjoy.  I once had 17 Bob Dylan albums; for some reason he irritated me so I traded them all for something.  Got a bargain bin CD of his “The Times They Are A-Changin'” album the other day.  He did 2 “North Country” songs back then, “Girl From the North Country,” which was fine, and “North Country Blues,” which mighthap be his best song ever.  Let me play it:

Bob Dylan, despite his eclectic voice, was a gifted and successful songwriter for other artists back in the day. His talent transcends time- the proof of which is my 18 year-old who listens to him today.

    • Ain’t it great when your kids form opinions outside of the boring old mainstream?
Dylan was a poet when he was at his best:
“I lived by the window as he talked to himself
The silence of tongues it was buildin’
Till one morning’s wake, the bed it was bare
And I’s left alone with three children.”
