Test 2–This Is Not Allowed

Just fumbling around for music videos it will let me play.  I can’t find a link anywhere on YT any more.  It just has the embed codes, which it sometimes denies (denies the right of blogs having access to the video).  But I’ve said this before, haven’t I?  And if some is good, more is better, which is why I can have a CD playing in my car for a solid year, and tonight I had to listen to Alanis’s “Uninvited” over and over, different versions.

Checking my theory that live versions of artist’s songs (live versions, that is, that are not on any albums), are something that the music conglomerate alphabet soup companies can’t deny the embedding of, because hopefully they own the album performance and not the artist or that song totally.  Probably not true:

or try this in the YT searchbar.

Uninvited – Alanis Morissette – legendado – tradução

She is skinny and blazing hot in this video.  She is bigger, and also older, in another one, and just as blazing hot.  Who else but her, as a songwriter and singer, could conceive of and pull off that odd but wonderful break between “unfortunate” and “slight” in this song.  And the band is always perfect for her, isn’t it?  I’d give it a 93–it’s got a good beat and you can dance to it.

Finally tonight, we have the esteemed Ms. Melissa Ethridge with “You Can Sleep While I Drive.”

So all of a sudden it turns the Melissa embed into a link.  Fine.  You can always come back to WordPress.  Or wait, it turned it back into an embed.  Yeah, it’s late.

Good night, sleep tight, don’t let the serial killers come in the night.
